What is BeyondHillary.com?
BeyondHillary.com is the only website that compiles the facts about the current presidential candidates to provide Hillary Clinton's supporters with the information they need to pick the next best candidate to represent them in the White House this fall.
We firmly believe that Barack Obama is the better candidate for Senator Clinton's supporters, and have created a comparison chart to show how both his and Senator McCain's platforms compare to hers to help illustrate this point. We hope and believe that reviewing this information will convince Senator Clinton's supporters to back Senator Obama in November. However, we do encourage you to take a look and decide for yourself.
Above and beyond supporting Senator Obama's campaign, we hope to keep Senator Clinton's supporters involved in the political process this fall. We've read reports of avid Clinton supporters who now say that they will not vote this November and think that these stories are tragic. As Democrats, we're sad to see such strong support for a Democrat go to waste, but as proud voters we'd even prefer that you review the platforms and come out in informed support of John McCain (or Ralph Nader, or someone else, though they aren't on the chart) than that you withdraw from this election cycle.
Who runs BeyondHillary.com?
We're a small team of Democrats who support Barack Obama's campaign for president. We run this website in our spare time, working on it around jobs in San Francisco's tech industry.
All content on this site is written by our team based on publicly available sources. We've included links to the places where we've gathered this information on our Sources page.

You clearly have a political agenda. Can I trust your information?
A friend of ours who looked at the website recently commented that the platform comparison chart showed a liberal bias. We don't think he quite saw where the chart came from, so we're happy to explain. Our platform comparison chart is targeted at supporters of Senator Clinton, and assumes that these supporters knew and approved of her policies. The chart is based on Senator Clinton's platform and factually compares the other candidates' ideas to hers. That's a not a liberal bias; that's a comparison chart based on the platform of a liberal candidate.
While BeyondHillary.com does have a stated political purpose, we're also committed to providing factual, straightforward information that will be useful to our readers. If, while reading this site, you come across anything you think is either an error or a misrepresentation of the facts, send us an email at factcheck@beyondhillary.com.
We'll review all fact check emails, and if we determine that there was an error or miscommunication, we'll update our content and post a note on our Corrections page.
Reviewing fact check emails is a manual process, and we're a small team, so please be patient and know that we'll read and handle all submissions in the order they are received.
What do you think of Hillary Clinton?
We deeply respect Senator Clinton and agree with almost all of her political ideas. One member of our team saw her speak in person at the beginning of the primary season and was very impressed by her intelligence and poise.
While we were Obama supporters from early on, if Senator Clinton had won the primary, we would certainly have supported her in the general election. However, at this point we believe that it's time for her supporters to make the practical decision to vote for the remaining candidate who will best represent their interests, just as we would have done if our preferred Democrat had lost.
What do you think of Barack Obama?
We think he's great! He's currently the candidate who best represents our political priorities, and we love the way he's gotten so many people excited about the election process.
While we're proud to endorse Barack Obama, BeyondHillary.com is in no way formally affiliated with Barack Obama's official campaign or BarackObama.com.
What do you think of John McCain?
We hear that Senator McCain is a pretty neat guy when you meet him in person. However, when we go to the polls in November, we'll be much more focused on his politics than his personality, and we think that his policies will be harmful to Americans and people all over the world.
That's not an exaggeration. We're deeply worried that a McCain administration would neglect improvements to the national education and healthcare systems, attack a woman's right to choose in America, and continue the disastrous war in Iraq and America's failure to take adequate action to stop global warming - with worldwide consequences. We're not okay with that, and we've put together this site to emphasize how different John McCain's administration would be from the future that Hillary Clinton has worked hard to build.
What do you think of Sarah Palin?
Because we think that the addition of Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket may play a big role in this election, and especially for Senator Clinton's supporters, we've created an entire page on this website to discuss how she stacks up compared to Hillary Clinton.
Short story: aside from the fact that they're both women, Governor Palin and Senator Clinton don't have much in common, and politically they come from different ends of the spectrum. Long story: see our page on Sarah Palin to learn more.
Why don't you discuss candidates other than Barack Obama and John McCain?
Two reasons: practicality and time constraints. Realistically, nearly all the people who vote in November's general election will pick one of the two major party candidates, so we've focused our energy on them. While we understand that some voters choose to support other candidates, and we respect that decision, we aren't going to dicuss other candidates at length on our site. The fact that we're a small team looking to get a website up quickly only made this decision easier.
As a side note, while we encourage you to look up other candidates as you see fit, we've noticed that Barack Obama's platform is more similar to Hillary Clinton's than that of any other current third party candidate.
You've convinced me! How can I support Barack Obama this fall?
We hope you've found the facts and positions presented on this website compelling. We've put a lot of time and energy into putting it together because we know that Senator Obama and the Democrats need your support. If you've decided to support Senator Obama's run for president, the most important thing you can do is vote for him this November.
If you want to do more than vote for Senator Obama, we also encourage you to forward this website to anybody you know who should see it, then click over to www.BarackObama.com to donate or get involved in his campaign. Thank you for reading BeyondHillary.com, and thanks for your support!
